Google Railwire - World's largest public Wi-Fi project

Google was going to launch one of the largest public Wi-Fi projects in the world in collaboration with the Indian railways. We set out to document its impact in the lives of its 8 million daily users.

The project was announced to the press and the public via this short video at a Google event,
by Google CEO, Sundar Pichai and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Right from the onset we knew the initiative would lead to seismic shifts in the lives of its 8 million daily users.
Possibly even changing the trajectory of their lives.

Real life stories from the initiative blossomed into a full blown series titled, #StoriesFromTheStation.
