In-game advertising costs a bomb. You need a million dollar budget to place a product inside one game,
forget multiple. We managed to advertise Asus ROG Strix, a new gaming laptop, inside not one, or two,
but over 30 of the world's most popular video games at a fraction of this cost. How? Watch to find out.
Every year we talk about ideas that are "breakthrough under a budget".
This right here is my personal favourite under that category. Low-cost with seismic impact.
Instead of paying top dollar to game developers, we found a hack to advertise our laptop inside games.
Gaming universes have now become extremely interactive. So we threw a challenge at gamers online,
to show us their creative side and advertise our product inside their favourite games.
What followed next was nothing short of mad-genius. Here are the t
op user generated in-game ads we received. for the ROG STRIX.

Entry from FIFA 2021

In today's attention deprived times, when the avg. attention span of a person online is said to be 3 seconds,
gamers spent hours trying to paint, drift, spray, tattoo, etch our product's name
into the environment of their favourite games.
Football players titled ROG Strix were born.
Someone drifted their car for hours to create our name with the tyre's skid marks.

We saw custom sports jerseys, car vinyls and number plates with ROG Strix on them.
An entire ROG Strix village was built by placing collected artefacts in a certain shape.
Tattoos, graffitis, bullet marks, character names, space shuttle bases and even fictional planets
were named after ROG Strix.
An experience that was a win-win both for the brand and for the gamers.
Awareness levels, WOM and excitement levels shot through the roof for the new laptop's launch.
Participants, got their hands on the Asus ROG Strix before the whole world.
A major flex for them and a massive cost-cut for the brand.
